A trip with Lamborghini enthusiasts from Troy to the Gilmore Car Museum in
Kalamazoo, MI. Just as we set the cars in front of the old Shell gas station,
about 300 bikers came roaring in for their own charity event; making the final
stage that much more special. Great cars, great weather, and a great drive.
Thanks to Jim for the hospitality and showing us around his end of town.
A 1960's Can Am race car, converted to street use by Kustom Fab for Jim
Glickenhaus. 600+ bhp, 180+ mph, A/C, CD stereo, and fully titled for the
street. All this, and it's comfortable too, and has almost no wind noise at
speed. Thanks Jim.
The day started with breakfast at the Athenian Coney Island; then we moved
onto get our fuel tanks filled, and off to Hell for another nice drive through
the woods. Most of my time was spent in Perry's NSX, while the trip back
surprised me with a shotgun ride in the Porsche Carerra GT! Pitty I wasn't amply
prepared for the video I took. In anycase, I hope you enjoy the photos, and
Many people I know, and have met showed their cars on this particular
weekend. Overcast sky's were cleared out toward the end of the day with a nice
warm setting sun; unfortunately after many had already left. Notable cars,
Ferrari 250 SWB, and Enzo; Maserati MC12, Lamborghini Diablo Roadster, SV, VT,
Gallardo, Murciealago Roadster, and a 400 GT. A few Alfa Romeo's were there, and
a few interesting one-off creations. Enjoy! Some cars may be covered in future
issues of Zero to
100 and Back.
Three days on Woodward Ave. Leading up to the Dream Cruise. One of the few
"Must Do" events every enthusiast should do at least once. Woodward is the
largest car show, and has the most spectators in the entire world. 115 photos
hardly do this event justice. Page 1 consists of the Big Three, and a few
British cars. Page 2 gets more exotic.
A bit of a delay, but I am now catching up. Some old cars, although the older
they are, the less interested I am (pre war really) there were some very
facinating cars. Modern Exotics include the Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini
Murcielago Roadster, and Gallardo, and Spyker C8. Oldies include the 300 SL
Gullwing, 67 Ford GT40, Lamborghini 400 GT, and 59 Corvette "Fulie" 289. Next
up, a few days at Woodward.
Ferrari Dino's, a 308 Quattrovalve, a Testerossa, Some 348's, 355's, 360's,
and F430's, as well as a 612 Scaglietti running rampant around Waterford Hills
private track. A few party crashers include a Hamann M6, and a Aston Martin V8
Photos from the First Annual Ford GT Rally, on Woodward Ave, including Ford
GT's, Ford GTX-1's, and a few cruisers crashing the event, including some
Vipers, a Testerossa, a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Porsche GT3, and a few others.
Hi resolution photos of a recent track day with various Corvettes, Including
A Twin Turbo Calaway C4, C5 Corvettes, C5 Z06's, C6 Corvettes, and of course, C6
Z06's; and a pair of Spectre Werkes cars. Have fun!
I was invited to join the FOC/FCA meeting at Cauley
Ferrari on May 6; and here are the photos from the event. A few turned out quite
nice. Hopefully I'll have a new lens before the next meeting. Enjoy!
The past few weeks over at the AutoZone on 14 and
Woodward; some very nice people and cars as always... and of course, the
Vector W8 that I put in the photoshoots section just in case somebody thinks
I missed it.
